Pasquale Rotella Officially Announces EDC Las Vegas Postponement

Headliners hoping to connect under the electric sky at EDC Las Vegas will have to do so in October after today’s announcement by Pasquale Rotella.

As the entire world continues to grapple with the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, festivals and events have continued to be cancelled or postponed. Now, much like others set to take place in May like Movement Detroit, Pasquale Rotella and Insomniac Events have announced that EDC Las Vegas will officially be moving until the fall.

Since the coronavirus outbreak first began, Pasquale Rotella has taken to social media multiple times to communicate that his team has been closely monitoring the situation at hand. Now, in the statement that was released on just moments ago, he officially announced that EDC Las Vegas has been postponed to the weekend of October 2-4.

“The team and I took every single factor into consideration: weather, hotel rates, talent availability, coordination with the Speedway, and local officials,” Rotella said in his statement. He then emphasized that they needed “a date that would give us enough time for things to get back to normal so we can all come back stronger than ever.”

As previously mentioned by Pasquale, those who won’t be able to attend the new dates for EDC Las Vegas can get a refund. Head to their support website for more details on how to obtain a refund.

This year’s edition of EDC Las Vegas featured a lineup including powerhouse artists in the scene like DJ Snake, David Guetta, ANNA, 12th Planet, Carl Cox, Excision, and Major Lazer among others. The statement also mentions that “Nothing changes but the date,” so we expect these artists to be retained on the lineup.
